How to Access the Citrix Portal
Before accessing the portal, you will need to have the proper security permissions for remote work. You can find information about this on the intranet under Technology > ANC IT Policy
ANC IT also recommends that your device is running the latest version of Windows 11, we may be unable to support users who are not fully up to date.
Installation
On your home PC, go to https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/ and download the latest version of Citrix (there are separate version for Windows and Mac)


Depending on your browser, the download may appear in the top right

Open the file and it will begin the installation
After it is installed, Citrix will open and ask for a login: do not login to the Citrix app: you will login to Citrix via the ANC Portal not the app
In order for the next steps to function properly, we will need to make sure that your default app for .ica files is Citrix
In your Windows search bar type "Default Apps" and click on it

This will open a page that has two search bars, use the top search bar to search by file type and type ".ica" and click the box with the arrow to change the application to Citrix


Logging In
After you have set Citrix as your default .ica file, you are ready to login to the portal. Go to portal.amesnational.com
It will immediately prompt you to sign into your ANC network account (first.last@bank.com)

It will also send you an MFA prompt to you Microsoft Authenticator App
It should then log you in and you will be in the ANC Citrix Portal
From here you will click desktops at the top and select the correct bank desktop

It will then use the Citrix Workspace app you downloaded earlier to open the desktop
